Operation Team/ Collections Manager 09/01/2012

We’re looking for an experienced manager who has previously worked in a collections environment, who will thrive in the role enjoying the autonomy it gives and the ability to bring new ideas to the table. You will ideally have collections regulation knowledge. We are looking for candidates who have excellent staff management skills with the ability to train, develop and motivate. The core responsibilities of the role are



  • Day to day management of a team of collectors, monitoring of inbound and outbound telephone activity, monitoring collection work queues, creating and maintaining a motivational environment
  • Ensure self and team uphold all defined policy and procedures set by LRC
  • Ensure that a culture of support and encouragement is achieved through on-going mentoring and development of the team driving them to meet/ exceed targets.
  • Performance management of individuals using various management information and real time statistics available
  • Work with Management to plan and implement priorities of the department and your team.
  • Set up and monitoring of daily dialler campaigns ensuring optimum delivery of service.
  • Maintain performance statistics for your team and hold regular team and individual performance reviews.
  • Produce individual and team performance statistics and any ad hoc reports as necessary.
  • To proactively challenge the processes and procedure in place and work closely with all teams to continually refine work methods in order to meet the demands set by the Management team

The ideal candidate will have:


  • Demonstration of good people management and operational and collections experience
  • Knowledge of dialler operations
  • Understanding of collections techniques and compliance arena in which debt industry operates.
  • Must demonstrate high levels of integrity and adopt a professional approach in all customer and staff interactions
  • Customer driven with strong customer service focus.
  • Strong administrative skills and strong attention to detail
  • Well organised with the ability to plan and manage own agenda.
  • Ability and confidence to take the initiative and take proactive sound decisions within the remit of the role.
